The IT Department of the University of Copenhagen Receives Grant Award

Algorand Foundation announced that the 5th International Blockchain School – Winter Edition would collaborate with the Copenhagen IT University. The foundation has promoted collaboration and Blockchain technology education, specifically the Algorand Blockchain project. The Algorand Foundation funds this collaboration through the Grants Program.

The ‘5th International Blockchain School – Winter Edition’ will have a Ph.D. program in which students pursuing their masters and doctorates coming from Denmark are invited to work on different cases provided by public and commercial organizations.

This new course programmed under the guidance of the European Blockchain Center will take place between 24th January to 28th January 2022 at the IT University of Copenhagen. The upcoming Blockchain School will focus on ‘Sustainable Decentralized Finance’ to create and disseminate Blockchain-related knowledge, develop pre-commercial Proofs of Concept or MVPs, and contribute towards academic research on blockchain technology. On 28th January 2022, the Nordic Blockchain Summit will feature the best outcomes from Blockchain institutes and Hackathons and a panel debate and keynote talks centered on the subject of the Blockchain School.

Algorand Foundation CEO Sean Lee said that they are happy to announce the partnership with the IT University of Copenhagen. They are looking forward to supporting this upcoming 5th edition of International Blockchain School- Winter Edition supporting a new generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and students. Education will help in further steps of Blockchain adoption and focus on developing the ecosystem of Algorand global.

All these years, the European Blockchain center had offered support right from the initial stage when the Blockchain School opened in 2016. Algorand Foundation is happy to support this new project and receive funding from the Algorand Foundation Grant Program.
